Hi. My name is Gerald. I work here at Simple Office Solutions, here in Santa Rosa, California. Today, we’re going to talk about the difference between paid virus protection and free virus protection.

The first thing we want to talk about, is that the free virus protection doesn’t help you monitor your surfing activity, where paid ones do. Now, if you do happen to have a paid one, and you try to go to an invalid website, that’s known to install potentially unwanted programs, and software, it’s gong to prevent you in several different ways. If you click on it, most of them will warn you that, “This is an unsafe website.” If you click on it again, it will tell you that, “You’re potentially going to infect your computer.” It will prevent you going to this website in any way possible. The paid versions will actually ride shotgun with you as you surf, as you monitor your emails, and as you open up Facebook. The ones that aren’t paid for, typically won’t. We like using Trend Micro here at Simple Office Solutions, because it doesn’t take up as much resources as most other antivirus programs.

If you have any other questions, please do so below. Thank you.
